Tools for shader writers
Small tools for writing Metal shaders, free (the GLSL converter is part of Ray Kiln Plus) and with nothing to install. They run in your browser: what you paste stays on the page, and a link you copy carries it in its fragment, which no server sees.
Shader linter
What in a Metal shader costs time on Apple GPUs, each line with its fix.
Metal to WebGPU
Paste Metal and get WGSL: your functions, or a whole module that runs a shader full screen.
Plus Download a web page that runs your shader on its own.
Graph
Metal expressions in x plotted together, with sliders, to shape a curve: smoothstep, pow, fract and the rest.
Palette maker
A whole gradient from four colours: a cosine palette, written as Metal, CSS and hex.
Noise explorer
Value, gradient and cellular noise, layered and warped, running live, with its Metal to copy.
Plus Export a seamless, tiling PNG up to 4096 × 4096.
GLSL to Metal Plus
A Shadertoy or GLSL shader as Metal that runs in the playground and the Ray Kiln app. Part of Ray Kiln Plus.
Everything here writes Metal in the shape Ray Kiln's playground and Mac app run, so anything you make opens there in one click.
