#stars
Points of light in the sky, made from directions rather than positions: the sky is cut into small cells by angle (azimuth and elevation), a hash of each cell decides whether it holds a star, and more hashes give it a place inside the cell, a brightness, a tint and a rate to twinkle. Kept inside its cell and about a pixel wide, a star stays sharp at any size of picture.
