#black holes
A mass so dense that inside a certain distance, the Schwarzschild radius, nothing gets out, not even light: that boundary is the event horizon, and it is why a black hole is black. Just outside it, at one and a half times that radius, light can circle the hole; a shader draws the hole by walking rays and letting those that come too close fall in.
